Come, see and hear about the scribal practices from the ancient times of copying sacred texts, using the example of the Dead Sea Scrolls, to the contemporary copying of Torah Scrolls.
Dr. George Giacumakis, Director of the Museum of Biblical & Sacred Writings, will be talking about the Dead Sea Scrolls scribal practices in ancient times.
Rabbi Ariel Asa, Torah Scribe from Atlanta, GA will be presenting a live demonstration of copying Torah Scrolls.
Rabbi Haim Asa, Ribbi Emeritus of Temple Beth Tikvah, will present Torah Scrolls from various cultures and will explain differences between approaches to creating each scroll
